Why We Overhauled Our Onboarding Program at 3xF—and Why It’s the Best Thing for You

At 3xF, we’ve always been obsessed with helping our clients get real results. But we realized that if we wanted to deliver on that promise for every new member, we had to do more than just provide great workouts—we had to transform the way we bring people in.

Back in 2020 we would get people started with a 6 week challenge in a large group of 25-35 people, give them a macronutrient prescription based on their weight and encourage the crap out of them in a group setting. That worked for a lot of people but some got lost in the shuffle.

So we rebuilt our onboarding program from the ground up.

The Problem: Fast Start, Frustrated Finish

Our old onboarding system worked well for many, but not for everyone. Some clients would show up motivated but unsure what to do with that energy. They had fitness goals but lacked clarity, confidence, or the tools to hit the ground running. And in some cases, they’d fall off before they even saw results.

That wasn’t good enough for us.

We wanted a program that not only delivered results—but guaranteed them.

The Fix: Personalized, Purpose-Driven, Proven

So I asked myself the question: what would I need to do in a client’s first 90 days in order to GUARANTEE they would lose at least 10lbs of fat or gain 2lbs of muscle? So we made four major upgrades to onboarding:

One on One Personal Training

Every new member starts with a minimum of 6 personal training sessions. A 1 on 1 environment is perfect to teach movement that is foundational to their long term progress and short term safety and nearly guarantee perfect attendance for their first two weeks. They’ll go through 8 fitness assessments before they transition to our group class in order to decide which exercises, weights, reps and modifications are most appropriate for them. Some people stay in personal training indefinitely because they love the accountability 1 on 1 training provides.

One-on-One Nutrition Planning

 Every new client now gets a customized nutrition session from Day 1. We use proven tools to create a realistic eating strategy that works with your lifestyle—not against it. We’ll explore what a new client’s daily nutrition habits look like currently to get an understanding of practical next steps.

Daily Accountability & Habit Coaching
You’ll receive small, manageable action steps, short lessons, and daily check-ins from a dedicated coach. That means no more wondering what to do next—we’ll guide you, one win at a time. Once we hit day 60, we’ll meet in person for your first Quarterly Strategy Session – an opportunity to review progress and chat about your future goals
